About THRVE
Design-informed support for how we live, age, and feel in place
THRVE is a design-led wellbeing practice rooted in interior design and extended through writing, seasonal Resets, and community-based work.
The practice sits at the intersection of biophilic and regenerative design, nervous-system awareness, and lived experience — supporting homes and rhythms that feel calmer and more sustaining over time.
This work is not about trends or perfection.
It’s about how space meets the body, the nervous system, and the realities of everyday life.
THRVE was created from the belief that our homes quietly shape how we feel, cope, and recover — especially during times of stress, caregiving, burnout, or transition.
This work isn’t about idealized living. It’s about supporting real people, real nervous systems, and real lives.
The work explores a simple but often overlooked truth:
how we live, and where we live, deeply affects how we feel.
What began as residential interior design has grown into a broader body of work responding to the realities people face in their homes and lives — change, fatigue, caregiving, aging, and the desire to live with greater ease over time.
What We Do
THRVE supports people and communities through interconnected forms of design, reflection, and guidance — rooted in care and longevity.
Interior Design & Home Consulting
Residential interior design and home guidance focused on wellbeing, livability, and long-term support — not trends or surface aesthetics.
Writing & Publications
Reflective writing that explores home, rhythm, aging, care, and place, helping people understand how environments shape daily life over time.
Seasonal Resets
Reflective writing that explores home, rhythm, aging, care, and place — helping people understand how environments shape daily life over time.
Community & Aging-in-Place Initiatives
Design-informed work with communities, organizations, and partners focused on aging well, housing access, and belonging — growing directly out of residential design experience.
Education, Speaking & Workshops
Select education and speaking grounded in lived practice and real-world application, sharing what works in homes, communities, and systems — offered as an extension of the work, not a separate brand.
Each area of work stands on its own, while contributing to a shared intention:
to shape environments — personal and collective — that support how people actually live.
How We Work
THRVE works slowly, thoughtfully, and in relationship with lived experience.
This is not a practice built on urgency, optimisation, or performance.
It is built on observation, care, and respect for the seasons people move through — personally, physically, and environmentally.
Across all work, we are guided by:
Care over perfection
Longevity over quick fixes
Support over pressure
Rhythm over rigidity
Interior design is approached as a long-term support system.
Writing is used to translate experience into meaning.
Resets are offered as invitations to return to what feels grounding and sustainable.
Who This Is For
THRVE is for people who sense that something quieter — but more essential — is missing from how we talk about home and wellbeing.
This work often resonates with those who are:
Navigating life transitions or periods of change
Experiencing fatigue, caregiving responsibilities, or shifting health
Rethinking how they want to live as they age
Seeking homes and habits that feel supportive rather than demanding
You don’t need to be renovating.
You don’t need to be starting over.
You simply need a desire for environments — physical and emotional — that hold you better.
A Closing Note
THRVE is not about creating ideal lives or perfect spaces.
It is about creating conditions — in homes, habits, and rhythms — that make everyday living feel more supported, more humane, and more aligned with the season you’re in.
About Andrea Leja
Andrea Leja is an interior designer, writer, and founder of THRVE.
Her work sits at the intersection of design, lived experience, and a deep respect for how spaces shape the nervous system over time.
Andrea’s approach is calm and practical, rooted in what she has witnessed again and again inside real homes: when space supports us well, life feels steadier. When it doesn’t, even simple days can ask too much.
With decades of experience working closely with people in their homes, her design conversations often open into something deeper — questions of care, rhythm, aging, sustainability, and belonging.
THRVE reflects this integrated perspective: design that honours both the built environment and the human experience within it, shaping spaces that support life as it changes.
Professional & Community Leadership
Andrea is actively engaged in community, policy, and global conversations around wellness, aging, and place-based care. Her work is informed by ongoing service and collaboration, including roles with:
