INTRODUCTION
Well Intentional Design
As an interior design professional, my primary concern for my clients lies in the process of design that allows for well-being. From my perspective, it is crucial for individuals to establish a deep connection within the spaces the live, work and play in. Interior design is on the cusp of a revolutionary transformation as a result of the wellness movement.
We spend more than 90% of our time indoors, whether it's in our homes or workplaces. This emphasizes the significance of the built environment as the primary design that we interact with. When we begin to comprehend the extent to which our surroundings affect our well-being, health, and mood, we quickly realize the level of attention and purpose that the design of space demands. In the past, the interior environment has often been disregarded as a factor influencing well-being and merely seen as an aspect of aesthetics. However, research has confirmed the significant impact our built environment has on both our mental and physical well-being.
Given that our homes represent a substantial personal investment and expenditure, it is only rational to consider them as an investment towards enhancing our physical and mental well-being. By creating healthy spaces, we not only facilitate our own healing but also contribute towards the restoration of our planet.
The magnitude and distinctiveness of this course exemplify my diverse life experiences. and encompasses my profound personal journey and the wisdom gained along the way.
